We are here to support the mental health of every person living and working in North and South Tyneside, Gateshead, Newcastle and Northumberland, regardless of your diagnosis.
Below you can find services available to all across Tyneside and Northumberland. Please note, each service has its own requirements. See description to learn more about each service.
We also provide services in certain areas of the community. This is often due to an identified need for specialised services in certain areas of the region, as well as funding restrictions given to the charity.
We endeavour to support the mental health of every person within our patch with help best suited to their needs. For more information about support in your area click here.
Support groups provide a mix of facilitated group discussion, workshops and activities to help you to learn how to effectively manage your mental health and get more control over your life. They aim to give you the opportunity to talk openly and discuss the issues that are important to you without fear of judgment.
Groups are for those who have limited social networks, feel alone or isolated because of your mental ill health and would benefit from learning more effective techniques to improve your health and wellbeing.
Support groups are available across Tyneside and Northumberland. To find your closest group click here.
We welcome any person from within the region to join one of our Safe Space Support Groups. We do however require referral before attendance. We accept Self Referrals and referrals on someone’s behalf, with their consent, by health, charity and other practitioners from services.
You can self-refer, or refer on behalf of another by completing our form here.
Have you lost a loved one to suicide or traumatic death? Specialist teams, including those from your local Mind will provide a fast response to offer help. To find further information about our Thrive after Tackling Trauma Support Service click here.
