Get involved with Great North Run 2026 and support mental health services with your local Mind!
Find all the information you need about the Great North Run 2026 here. This includes key times, route map, facilities, Charity Village and more.
Plan your travel in advance. Road closures and limited parking can make getting around difficult. Use public transport – frequent bus / metro / ferry trips are available throughout the day. The Great North Run Rover ticket gives you access to bus, metro, ferry and limited trains all day. Get your tickets on the Pop App or any Nexus Metro Ticket Machine. Info here.
Join us at the Mind Cheer bus at the 10th Mile of the GNR route (Prince Edward Road). Get in touch for times and details. Expect the Mind Team, Volunteers and the Tuneless Choir signing loud for our runners all day (rain or shine!).
The Mind Marquee, within the Charity Village (near the finish line), is for Mind runners only. Located at Avenue A, Marquee 3. Expect the Mind Team and Volunteers as well as snacks / drinks / photos opps and more and celebrate post course completion.

Why are you running the Great North Run for Tyneside and Northumberland Mind?
I have ran and fundraised for Tyneside and Northumberland Mind twice before and have found it to be a fantastic sense of achievement and fulfilment. Having worked with the charity previously, and continuing to follow along with their journey, I have seen first-hand the fantastic work that they do for our local area. I’d love nothing more than to continue to support this fantastic charity.
