Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s newest support service ‘Wellbeing, Tech & Me’ is an in-person 6-week digital confidence programme, designed to build your confidence, connection, and wellbeing in a digital world.
Across the 6-week course we will explore:
– How to use devices like phones, tablets and computers
– How to stay safe online, spot scams, spam and fraud
– Ways you can feel less worried when on the internet
– Where you can find trusted websites for mental health/wellbeing support
– How to find and use helpful apps like the NHS app
– An introduction to social media and it’s safe use
– How to spot fake news, misleading images and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
– Easy tech tips to help you and others
If you’re 16 years of age and over and living in the North East this service could be right for you.

Our Wellbeing in Nature group gives local people the opportunity to combat poor mental health and build greater resilience with nature-based support sessions at The Meadows Community Centre in North Tyneside. Join us at our plot, where we’ll be inspiring you to get growing mentally and physically, by pruning, planting and chatting in a mix of garden and craft-focused sessions. We’ll help you work on your mental health challenges, develop self-help coping strategies and new skills.
Takes place bi-weekly on a Thursday morning in North Tyneside.

Have you lost a loved one to suicide or traumatic death? We offer compassionate trauma support for children and young people affected by a death of this nature, aged 6 – 24 years (24 – 29 years for those leaving care), across the North East and North Cumbria region. ReVOC comprises of two specialist services, Violence Against the Person Service and Support for Mental Health Service; both dedicated to supporting victims of crime across Northumbria. These support services aid victims, witnesses, and their family, residing in the Northumbria area. For information about ReVOC services and how to access them, click here.
