New Mind charity shop arrives in Jesmond Newcastle
On Wednesday 8th March, a new Mind charity shop opened on St George’s Terrace in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne.
CEO Alex Wilson, of Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, attended the opening ceremony along with Newcastle University and Mind representatives.
The joyous occasion saw Alex proudly cutting a fittingly blue ribbon to mark the opening of the newest Mind branch alongside Head of Counselling and Welfare at Newcastle University, Kirsty Hutchinson, the Mind Jesmond shop team and more of the Mind workforce who traveled in for the ceremony.
The store is home to many goodies, from clothing to furniture, with stock dependent on the giving of the local community. This means that special finds can be there one minute and gone the next, with new treasures arriving every day.
The Mind Jesmond store welcome the donations of pre-loved items from local residents, alongside the purchasing of current store items. All funds generated from your spending in the store will help support the operation of Mind and its services, delivered to those experiencing mental health issues.
