Be part of the iconic North East Skinny Dip event – set to return September 2027. We hope to see you braving the North Sea with us!
We’ll be returning to Druridge Bay, Northumberland for yet another North East Skinny Dip event in 2027. The event, organised by the North East Skinny Dip team, challenges you to leave your inhibition at the shore and experience the freedom of unbridled nakedness- whilst raising funds for our local mental health services.
Join more than 100,000 dippers who have braved the sunrise skinny dip next September 2027 – date TBC!
The North East Skinny Dip is a partnership event, organised by the NESD team. Tyneside and Northumberland Mind are the grateful recipients of all fundraising and donations tied to the event. The Tyneside and Northumberland Mind Fundraising Team support the promotion and organising of the event, however any questions surrounding the event should be directed to the NESD team at getnaked@northeastskinnydip.co.uk

On Sunday 20th September, we had the pleasure of supporting the North East Skinny Dip 2026 – one of the biggest dips ever. NESD is a very special event, which this year saw more than 1,200 people pledging to take a very early, and very naked, sunrise dip into the shore of Druridge Bay Beach in Northumberland.
Tyneside and Northumberland Mind has now been part of 14 separate North East Skinny Dip events, which have raised, collectively, more than £200,000 for our local mental health charity. A truly breath-taking amount of money that has made such an impact on our communities.
This year was yet another unforgettable event, celebrating life, self-love and the power of stepping out of your comfort zone in such a unique way. We had so many locals and individuals from countless countries around the world who all came together for this wonderful weekend event.
Thank you – and well done – to all those that braved the challenge and fundraised for our local mental health support services as part of your participation. We hope you enjoyed yourself! This NESD is looking to be our biggest yet – with more dippers – and more fundraising – than EVER before! We are so very grateful for your support and generosity.
This Dip, like all the others, is only possible thanks to Jax, the event organiser, and the NESD volunteers. You’re all incredible. Additional thank you to our Tyneside and Northumberland Mind volunteers who, like the NESD crew, give up their Saturday evening and Sunday morning to make this event the special spectacle that it is. Thank you to all those who played a part in making NESD ’26 yet another iconic event in support of local mental health.
