From 1st May 2016, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind have extended the successful Northumberland based Resilience for Victims of Crime (REVOC) project to cover Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland too. We can accept referrals from organisations, family members or self-referrals, and all services are fully funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner.
You can access the service:
• Whether or not the crime has been reported
• Whether or not you have UK citizenship
• Regardless of when or where the crime happened
• If you are aged 16 or over
• If you are experiencing mental health problems whether they are diagnosed or not
• As long as you’re not currently detained under the mental health act
The project can provide:
• Support through the court process and when giving statements
• Practical information and advice
• Emotional support through 1-2-1 sessions and catch ups
• Access to group peer support sessions
• Referrals into other organisations and signposting to relevant services
