  • Salary: £21,991 FTE (actual salary is pro rata for 17 hours per week)
    Working Hours: 17 hours per week (flexible, but must include Wednesday afternoons)

    Our Wellbeing Projects offer essential support to adults who are experiencing problems with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. We provide a diverse range of services and support to meet the needs of people in all stages of their recovery. Facilitated groups, peer led groups and one-to-one support help reduce social isolation and give people the opportunity to openly discuss and share experiences in an environment they feel comfortable with. Our range of wellbeing sessions, workshops & social activities give people the chance to learn skills and techniques that can help improve mental health and wellbeing and give people the skills to deal more effectively with life’s ups and downs.

    Part of Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s Wellbeing & Resilience team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering a range of support for people experiencing problems with their mental health and wellbeing. This includes developing and delivering a new healthy lunch session, supporting our peer led groups, providing one-to-one support in our base in Gateshead and facilitating our Open Door group in Jarrow. The Wellbeing Coach will also be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers to support them with these activities.

    This role is fixed term until December 2019 (further extension is subject to funding).

  • Salary: £17, 682 FTE (actual salary is pro rata for 4 hours per week)

    Acting as part of Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s Wellbeing & Resilience team, the post holder will work alongside a second Wellbeing Worker to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Safe Space group.

    Safe Space has been central to our Wellbeing & Resilience services delivery throughout the region for a number of years and offers essential support to adults who are experiencing problems with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. The group delivers a mix of group discussions & support, wellbeing workshops & activities. These facilitated group sessions give people the opportunity to openly discuss and share experiences and learn a wide range of practical skills and techniques that can help improve mental health and wellbeing. The group helps people reduce social isolation, build stronger support networks and learn techniques to deal more effectively with life’s ups and downs.

    These roles are fixed term until March 2020 (further extension is subject to funding).

    Hours and Locations:
    • Hexham / 4 hours per week.
    Applicants must be available to work 12.45-3.15pm on Wednesdays to deliver the group at Hexham Abbey, Hexham. NE46 3NB.


    • Newcastle / 4 hours per week.
    Applicants must be available to work 12.45-3.15pm on Tuesdays to deliver the group at Be. Wellbeing. MEA House, Ellison Place, Newcastle. NE1 8XS.
