Tyneside and Northumberland Mind's Step into January '22 for 22' campaign is all about getting active during January. It focuses on the benefits of getting active and how this can improve our mental health and increase feelings of wellbeing.
Research shows that getting active can reduce anxiety and stress, combat low mood and increase self-esteem – contributing to feeling good on the inside and out.
Whether it’s a session at the gym, a 5k run or walk, doing steps in the house, setting yourself a stair mountain target or walking the dog – it all counts. We will be there to support you and keep you motivated every step of the way.
You can set personal challenges or take part as a team from work, exercise with friends or join in as a family. We will encourage you to be active for 22 days of January 2022 (Sun 9th - Sun 30th Jan 2022), we will give tips, events, opportunities and ideas for you to join in with, we will also provide fundraising resources to help you help us by fundraising during your campaign.
