Our Support Line provides a listening ear and mental health and wellbeing information everyday for those aged 16 and over, and living in Gateshead, Newcastle or Northumberland. Call us when you need us. Available weekdays 2pm-10pm and weekends 12pm-8pm.

Alternative to Crisis Counselling Service uses a combined, tailored therapy approach. We work with the person to support their needs. The service supports people near crisis because of their mental health. We also work with those post crisis who need help to stay stable. We help people understand what has led them to crisis. We also help them learn new ways of coping.
We offer up to 15 sessions depending on need.
Referrals can come from the Crisis Team, Psychiatric Liaison Team or your Gateshead GP.

Our 6-Week Wellbeing Workshop helps you build practical skills to support positive mental health, wellbeing, confidence, self-compassion and independence. Through interactive activities, discussions and guided explorations, you will deepen your understanding of mental health and how to better care for your own with positive coping strategies. Together, we will help you build on your ability to overcome personal barriers, manage life’s challenges and support your own wellbeing.
After the Workshop: You’ll be invited to join a regular social group to stay connected and continue building confidence.

Gateshead Safe Space group offers an informal and safe environment to meet people and join in activities that will improve your health and wellbeing and help you build practical coping skills. If you feel lonely, isolated, worried or anxious, the group support could help by enabling you to access support to improve your health and wellbeing.

Our drop-in Peer Support Space gives local people an opportunity to connect with others and chat about how they’re feeling.

Tyneside and Northumberland Mind’s newest support service ‘Wellbeing, Tech & Me’ is an in-person 6-week digital confidence programme, designed to build your confidence, connection, and wellbeing in a digital world. ReVOC comprises of two specialist services, Violence Against the Person Service and Support for Mental Health Service; both dedicated to supporting victims of crime across Northumbria. Our Adult Autism and ADHD Service (also known as Triple A, or AAA Service) is designed by and for neurodiverse adults and aims to support those awaiting a diagnosis.
Our Autism and ADHD Service supports Gateshead residents with five week courses, named ‘Autism and Me’ and ‘ADHD and Me’, developed to support the person, help you learn about yourself and enact coping strategies to help in your daily life. As a client of our Triple A Service you will also gain access to a monthly social group.
Whether formally diagnosed, or self-identifying, you are welcome to access this service.

Have you lost a loved one to suicide or traumatic death? We offer compassionate trauma support for children and young people affected by a death of this nature, aged 6 – 24 years (24 – 29 years for those leaving care), across the North East and North Cumbria region.
